Souesta and Leeva (4)

A river of lava flows in the cave of Xineoph
Souesta could not see a sign of the legendary
bird that was a heir of the father god Theoph
only found a tree of fruits of diamonds twinkling

"Xineoph, please show yourself. Souesta needs
you help." mixed in the rustling of the diamonds
came a voice too tender to hear, "Come closer, kid.
Move yourself to the bottom of my nest." the voice said.

On a huge heart-shaped diamond stood a rainbow-coloured
bird as tiny as a walnut with feathers half-transparent
"I know why you are here." Souesta moved much closer
"Citrustoon guides you to me seeking a way to the underworld."

"As my obligation reads, you can have a feather of Xineoph
only after you have solved the three riddles left by Theoph,
so human, be advised, if you lose, you will never leave
Xineoph's nest to return to your world. Be thoughtful."

"Xineoph the great, Souesta is determined to put my life
for the only way of me to save Leeva. I trust you my future."
"Determined. So here comes the first: choose from the two
leave and live, when you can. Or die in the mouth of vulture. "

A white smoke faded, Souesta found himself in front of two
huge vultures who were eager to eat his flesh and drink his blood
to feed their birdies crying out of hunger. The hero dashed into
a nearest cave of dead end, pulling out the Dagger of Fate
